Патрик Зюскинд
Получил музыкальное образование, изучал историю в Мюнхенском университете. Работал в патентном отделе фирмы "Сименс", тапером в танцбаре, тренером по настольному теннису. Литературный и драматургический дебют - пьеса "Контрабас" (1984). В 1985 году выпустил роман "Perfume" ("Аромат", в традиционном русском переводе - "Парфюмер"), который сделал Зюскинда всемирно знаменитым. Роман и поныне остается одной из наиболее популярных книг среди читателей Европы и Северной Америки.
